It’s been two days and I still couldn’t get a hold of Trell. He wouldn’t pick up. He acted like it was the other way around and I was the one with the drinking problem. The sound of someone leaning on my doorbell scared the fuck out of me and the only person that did that shit was Cion’s ass. Unlocking my door, I swung it open and grilled him.

“Cion, you know that shit annoys me,” I smacked with an eye roll.

“I know. That’s why I do it,” he grinned, pulling me into his arms. He smelled good. So good that it had me missing Trell even more. Pushing out of Cion’s arms, I turned and sauntered back to the living room with him behind me.

“You sholl be coming over here a lot these days. Ari ain’t here,” I teased, sticking my tongue out once I flopped down on the couch.

“I just left her,” he teased back. Mocking me. I squinted at him to see if he was pulling my leg, but he wasn’t.

“What do you mean you just left her?” I asked. Crossing my arms across my chest, I awaited his response. “Do I have to call Ari and ask her myself?”

“Her car broke down and I happened to be in the area. I had Po’ Boy pick it up and take it to the shop and then I took her to Walmart to pick up some milk for her baby. Guess who we ran into?”

“Who?” I was still wrapping my mind around her car breaking down and Cion being the one to help her.

 “Whitney,” he sighed.

“And? That’s who you’re still fucking?” I raised a brow and queried.

“Yeah. But listen, you know how me and Whit kick it. She tried to question me in front of Ari. That shit pissed me off and I didn’t spaz out on her ass like I wanted to.”

“So what? You think Whitney is trying to flip the script? You think she wants more from you?” I asked him, now invested in this drama.

Cion sighed and ran his large hands down his face. “Shit, I don’t know but I ain’t ready for all of that. You know I have love for Whit. She’s a good girl and shit, but I ain’t in love with her.”

“Well stop fucking her then, Cion. That’s what the problem is. You cannot just drop dick in women and then not expect them to eventually catch feelings,” I snickered.

Whitney was cool but we didn’t hang out. I never got close to any of Cion’s women. If I didn’t take my brother seriously, then they shouldn’t. He was a ladies’ man and couldn’t just make it official with just one. Cion didn’t want to be tied down to one, and Whitney knew that shit. I had no clue why she was switching up now. She chose to play her position in Cion’s life.

Cion sighed and shook his head.
